Meet Dr. Harandi
After attaining his Electrical Engineering degree, Dr. Harandi received his dental degree from Ohio State University (OSU) in 1992. He continued his education and earned Master of Science degree in oral biology as well as the periodontology specialty certificate in 1995.
Following completion of his three-year post-doctoral training program in periodontology, he joined the faculty at OSU as an assistant professor and later on was recruited to fill an assistant professor position in the department of periodontics, at Dalhousie university in Canada. Dr. Harandi is a member of numerous national and international organizations such as American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Dentistry, American Academy of Osseointegration, American Society of Anesthesiologists, California Society of Periodontists, and California Dental Association.
Dr. Harandi has trained a number of dental students and also served as the clinical director for periodontal and implant surgery at Dalhousie university. His clinical experience and interest include preventive dentistry and periodontal care, root coverage, implant placement, regeneration, and bone graft techniques.
Dr. Harandi is among handful of periodontists in the east bay area who achieved a Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology. He has been practicing in Bay area since 2005 in Pinole and recently in Walnut creek. He also serves as a periodontal advisor to Implant Partnership Study Club located at Walnut creek. Dr. Harandi’s compassion for others and his ability to listen to and understand his patients that makes him such a respected and beloved clinician.
Dr. Harandi lives in Danville with his wife Maryam, and their two sons. He enjoys traveling and spending time volunteering at school and son’s activities.
